Maureen Rehfuss looked into the faces of the women sitting around the table with her: A human resources professional “learning on the fly” in a growing business; a new director at a nonprofit figuring out how to lead a full team; a sales director with a growing portfolio; a woman navigating transition in her work.
Rehfuss, president and CEO of Career Partners International and a mentor at the seventh annual Bizwomen Mentoring Monday event held Monday at the Science Museum of Minnesota, described her own career path spent trying on roles in large companies and smaller ones, taking risks and integrating her personal and professional lives.
“It’s great to be a small business owner, but sometimes it’s not,” Rehfuss told her mentees.
About 250 women, including 40 mentors, attended the event centered on connecting Twin Cities professional women.
